The IDEA Committee (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility)of Recovery Dharma Global has created a scholarship for the 2023 Sangha Summit in Philadelphia PA. Our intention is to contribute towards accessibility to the Sangha Summit for underrepresented members who may not be able to attend otherwise. We are cautious and aware that our intention is to supplement, not replace, the efforts of individuals in the community to access the event and to practice wise livelihood.
Here are the specific criteria and processes that IDEA committee members will use to review applications.
- Scholarships will benefit people from underrepresented groups.
- The applicant will commit to attending the Summit for its full duration and participate wholeheartedly in the scheduled activities.
If the criteria are met, then the committee will use the three guidelines below to help determine the amount to be given.
- Consider the financial need expressed by the applicant.
- We are offering scholarships that cover travel, accommodation, and Summit registration. The current maximum amount of the total scholarship fund is $2,000.
- At least two members of the IDEA Committee or an IDEA Subcommittee will take part in reviewing the scholarship applications.
