While serving on the Board, I hope to support the growth of sustainable sangha at the global level, helping maintain a consistent message and shared values across our communities. I aim to empower individuals to embrace their unique path of recovery through inquiry and mentorship, using the powerful tools of this practice to meet suffering with compassion as we walk together toward individual and collective liberation.

I hope to continue in my role with the Summit and the Events Committee, and to be able to provide context and history of the organization to our newer Board members. It is my hope that we are able to grow Recovery Dharma through the Summit and other events and to create new events, which is one of our best forms of outreach.

I hope to strengthen community connections by developing a membership structure that actively supports sanghas and fosters deeper engagement. I aim to expand inclusivity by advocating for policies that remove barriers to participation, such as multilingual resources and accessible meeting formats. By uplifting diverse voices—especially those from historically marginalized communities—I want to help RDG grow as a sustainable, supportive space where all feel valued in their recovery journey.

I’d love to aid an increase in Mentorship and pursuit of the process of inquiry.  To this end working on the Workbook is very interesting to me.  Emphasis on the teachings of the Buddha.  On a personal note I see this position as a logical next step in my own dedication to this wonderful path of compassion, wisdom and change for the better.

I have a lot of visual skills to contribute, however my strongest areas are writing and editing. I know there is literature being developed, and I would enjoy helping to polish that material. I am also strongly interested in outreach, and helping RD reach rehab facilities, detention centers, and correctional institutions.

I hope to co-create pathways that honor radical inclusivity, deepen trauma-informed practice, and elevate the healing voices of those too often silenced. I want my service to reflect sacred reciprocity—giving back to a sangha that helped me reclaim my humanity.

I would be excited to work on programming including events, and also on general development activities especially those which help grow sanghas locally and statewide if relevant. Based on my writing skills and experience with Buddhism over many years I would be honored to contribute to new publications as well.
